Mr. Bijok is president of Division Zero Inc. and president and principal of Division Zero Architecture Inc.. He is responsible for all aspects of design, production and management for both companies. With more than twelve years of experience in professional architectural practice, he brings a broad range of experience and skills to all levels of every project in which Division Zero is involved.

2000- VANCOUVER CHINATOWN MILLENNIUM GATE, Vancouver, BC
Initiation and promotion of a traditional Chinese Gate for Vancouver's Chinatown.

1998 KORITAR RESIDENCE, Vancouver, BC
Renovation proposal for a Dunbar residence.

1996 VANCOUVER AIDS MEMORIAL COMPETITION, Vancouver, BC
Proposal for a Sanctuary dedicated to the memory of those who have died of AIDS.

1995- THE KINGSWOOD, Vancouver, BC (Detail and Coordination Consultant)
Detail design and working drawings for a prestigious residential development comprising 18 condominiums on 12 floors. Careful design and attention to detail contribute to the construction of one of the most refined buildings in Vancouver.

1995 SILBERBERG RESIDENCE, Vancouver, BC (Project Architect)
Design and documentation interior modifications to an existing residence.

1994 POLLOCK RESIDENCE, Vancouver, BC (Project Architect)
Design and documentation of an attic extension to an existing residence.

1993 OUZERI ST-DENIS, Montréal, Québec (Project Architect & Construction Manager)
Design and construction management of a 100-seat restaurant/café. (2 000 sf; $200 000)

1993 McGILL UNIVERSITY, Montréal, Québec Project Architect (Consultant to Bobrow Architects)
Fit-up of a Design Laboratory for courses in the department of Mechanical Engineering. Design and documentation of custom computer and drafting workstations incorporating flexible power and networking capabilities, and environmental design responding to specialized lighting, sound and security criteria. (1 000 sf; $180 000)

1990 HONDA CANADA REGIONAL CENTRE, Boucherville, Québec (Project Architect - Consultant to Bobrow Architects)
Combined office/training-centre/semi-automated warehouse facility. Responsible for programming, design and documentation, and due to strict scheduling demands, administration of a complex 4-phase tender call implemented to enable an early start. Participated in construction supervision. (220 000 sf; $17 000 000)

1989-92 CLSC AHUNTSIC (Project Architect - Consultant to Bobrow Architects)
Renovation of an existing school for use as a Community Health Services Centre. Programming, design, documentation and supervision. (40 000 sf; $1 900 000)

1990 FRE COMPOSITES, Montreal, Quebec (Project Architect)
Warehouse and office expansion for a General Electric Canada subsidiary manufacturing high-tech electrical conduit. (24 000 sf; $920 000)

1991 HUMBER RESIDENCE, Montréal (Project Architect)
Restoration of the facade and balcony of a Victorian house in a heritage neighbourhood.

1991 McCRIMMON RESIDENCE, Stanton, Vermont (Project Architect)
Renovation and "winterisation" of a cottage on Lake Champlain.

1985 VISUAL ARTS CENTRE, Westmount (Designer)
Reorganization of studio space and design and installation of special equipment on a team including educational programmers, a cost consultant, art programme directors and artists.

1986 MONNIN RESIDENCE; Montreal, Quebec (Designer, construction manager)
Complete renovation of a two-storey duplex.

1983 CONSULTANTS SYLVESTRE; Montreal, Quebec (Designer)
Design and supervision for the renovation of a residential/ commercial/retail building on Sherbrooke St.. Supervision of contractors, resolving on-site conditions.

1980-81 STUDIO DE VERRE; Montreal, Quebec (Designer and Instructor)
Stained Glass Design and Restoration. Construction and restoration of windows and installations. Taught classes of 10-15 students techniques of design and construction.

1992 VANGUARD SCHOOL, Westmount (Associate in Charge)
Remodelling of an existing industrial building as a private high school offering progressive education for learning disabled students. Strategic planning, site evaluation, programmatic analysis, design & documentation. (30 000 sf; $1 000 000)

1992 HOSTESS FRITO-LAY INC., Laval (Associate in Charge)
Quebec Regional Head Office & Distribution Centre. Survey & review of personnel & operational requirements, review of systems furniture options, establishment of space and environmental standards, interior design and documentation.

1988-89 FIRE STATION 43, Ahuntsic (Project Architect)
Project Architect for the extension to an existing fire station for the City of Montréal. The entire design and working drawing set was computerized in compliance with the municipality's informatization policy. (20 000 sf; $1 700 000)

1988-91 PRATT & WHITNEY CANADA, Longueuil (Staff Architect)
Extended-term supplier of programming and architectural services. Work has included master planning for the reorganization of departments across three separate plants, development of accommodation standards, design & fit-up of 40,000 sf. office space, training of P&WC personnel in proprietary programming methodologies and management consultation on multi-phased relocation scheduling.

1988 NATIONAL CAPITAL COMMISSION, Ottawa (Project Architect)
User needs study, functional and operational programme, and conceptual design for the relocation of this 500-employee government agency to a new facility in the Ottawa Core Area. Development of a computerized, integrated space requirement and operational allocation template facilitated handling of the large quantities of information involved.

1989 CAVENDISH DEVELOPMENT, Montréal (Project Architect)
Feasibility and preliminary design studies for a phased commercial/hotel complex of 5 buildings of 100 000 sq. ft. each.

1988 FLEURY HEALTH/COMMERCIAL CENTRE, Montreal (Staff Architect)
Feasibility study and preliminary design for a mixed-use elderly housing/commercial/retail centre for Ivanhoe Inc. Demographic study led to a proposal for a 250 unit, low-level care facility operating to redevelop an existing commercial presence and respond to the surrounding residential neighbourhood. (500 000 sq.ft. of total floor)

1987 STEINBERG REGIONAL HEADQUARTERS, Montreal (Project Architect)
Programmatic and preliminary design study for a 5-year development plan for the Steinberg Quebec region administrative facilities.

1987 VILLA BELLEVUE RESORT HOTEL, Lac Ouimet, Quebec (Staff Architect)
Working drawings for a 25-room resort hotel.

PROFESSIONAL RESEARCH EXPERIENCE

1993-95 ENVELOPE: QBEC/Siricon
Development of software to evaluate the thermal performance of building envelopes, including allowances for windows, verification of conformity to CAN/CSA-A440-M90, and integration with a pre-existing wall performance module. This software is designed to be a code-compliance tool upon the adoption of a National Energy Code in Canada.

1992 IRAP - OBJECT-ORIENTED DATABASE RESEARCH: National Research Council Canada; Bobrow/Eldred
Research into Object-Oriented Database techniques applied to the A/E/C industry. Development of a framework for storing building data for use throughout the life of a project.

1991 PLOTTER DRIVER FOR CALCOMP 965: Consultant to Bobrow/Eldred
Supervision of the writing of a plot translator not commercially available to permit the linkage between AutoCad and a pen plotter.

1989 IRAP - ARCHITECTURAL WORKING DRAWING LIBRARY: National Research Council Canada; Bobrow/Eldred
Supervision of IRAP-sponsored research into a new methodology for recombining detail assemblies into usable working drawings. This represented a first attempt to mediate between the unit component level (brick, column...) and the standard detail strategy (foundation footing, window head).

1988 FACILITY MANAGEMENT PROCESS: Bobrow/Eldred
Development of a computerized, integrated space requirement & operational allocation template to facilitate the handling of large quantities of data involved in programming for organizations of 500+ personnel.

1988 CROSS-PLATFORM DRAWING TRANSLATION: Bobrow/Eldred
Establishment of a data transfer protocol between Calcomp System 25 & CADAM drawing standards. Layering, text & symbol standards were implemented to permit successful data translation through a 3-phase intermediate process.

1987 FACILITIES MANAGEMENT & PLANNING SERVICE: Bobrow/Eldred
Development of a complete facilities management service, including Survey & Drawing standards, data translation, Real Estate database linking Architectural/Structural/Electrical/HVAC data and Stacking & Blocking abilities.
